Note: R516A is an ASHRAE A2L safety group (low toxicity, low flammability) refrigerant. Its flammability is inherited from the R152a and R1234yf components. It is combustible only within a narrow concentration range (~9.5%~14.5% vol in air) and under specific ignition conditions; the laminar burning velocity is very low (<10 cm/s), making it far more difficult to ignite than conventional flammable gases. Frostbite from liquid contact is a physical low-temperature injury.
Signal word: Warning
Note: Flammability is inherited from the R152a (42.5%) and R1234yf (8.5%) components, both A2L low-flammability gases; the R134a component (49.0%) is itself non-flammable. The blend as a whole exhibits A2L low-flammability behavior.
